Uses Tulathromycin is a semi-synthetic erythromycin belonging to the ring expanded aza–erythromycins. Ring expansion improvedsthe acid lability of the parent erythromycins. Tulathromycin is regarded as the first of the triamilides, having a third amino (propylaminomethylene) group on a sugar to improve absorption. This modification provides a mixture of the two tulathromycin isomers (90:10) present in the commercial animal health product.
